Defense is never a glamorous part of many sports, nor does anyone get much recognition for being a dominate defender. However, Caitlain Spangler is definitely an outstanding defensive player. Miami counts on her to defend the toughest and best players on the opponent's team. On top of that, she is the fastest sprinter for Miami, and is therefore asked to get the ball in virtually every swim off. She has won the swim off 82% of the time this season, which has obviously led to more team possessions.
