Garrett Smith
In his final season as a Miami Water Polo player, Garrett met every expectation that was made for him. Within the Ohio Valley Conference, he was named a 1st-team All-Conference player for the fourth time in his career, and was also selected as the Conference MVP. He carried his level of performance on to Nationals, where he helped lead the team to a 9th place finish. He showed an increasing level of unselfishness and leadership as the season progressed, often rallying the team at crucial points during games. The team will certainly miss Garrett in the future, both for his skills as a player and his character as a teammate.
