12/07/2006 - Oxford, OH - Following a successful weekend at the Miami Invitational, the RedHawks are off until January 12th when they face MAC Rival Toledo.

Miami University's women's swimming and diving team ran away with the Miami Invitational, racking up 1873.5 points in the three-day meet. Truman State was the RedHawks' closest competition, scoring 1452.5 points to place second, while Denison finished third with 1200 points. Oakland (1159.5), Cincinnati (1044), Emory (821), Houston (714.5), Wright State (610), Marshall (554), Cleveland State (237) and Wisconsin-Milwaukee (134) rounded out the scoring for the meet.
Frazier led a trio of Miami swimmers in the "A" finals of the 200 IM, clocking a time of 2:07.49 to win the event. Schmidt recorded a time of 2:08.98 to place fourth, while Seymour touched the wall in 2:09.08 to finish in fifth place.
In the 400 freestyle relay, Miami's team of Stevens, Nemeth, Patrick and Bezier notched a time of 3:28.52 to place seconds, while the team of Stephens, Zeleznikar, Way and Schmidt finished in sixth place in a time of 3:32.21.
