Our History and Mission
Miami Valley Pheasants Forever was
founded in August 2001 by a group of conservationists, landowners, sportsmen,
farmers, and other volunteers committed to improving local wildlife
habitat conditions and conserving our natural resources. Our primary
mission is to assist the owners of local agricultural and recreational
properties in their efforts to establish and manage nesting habitat,
which is key to the survival of ring-necked pheasant and many other
wildlife species. We are the original PF chapter in the region
and proudly serve Butler, Montgomery and Preble Counties.
Today, Miami Valley Pheasants Forever remains strongly focused on building
and maintaining undisturbed grasslands, taking a thoughtful and systematic
approach to restoring wildlife habitat in our region. We are also involved in the construction of wetlands, another critical wildlife habitat in our region. Chapter
members meet frequently to discuss conservation issues, organize habitat
projects and fund-raising events, and to socialize about our common
interests. Join us!
