The Oxford Museum Association is entrusted with an exceptional collection of artifacts typical of rural farm life in the 19th century. Items displayed in the Doty Homestead and the DeWitt Log Homestead have been collected through the generosity of friends of the Association and are featured to provide an ambience of home life in the early to late 1800s. Farm implements displayed in the Pioneer Barn focus on the period preceding the advent of the gasoline engine.

An "Adopt an Artifact" program has been established to involve members and friends in the restoration of historic items in preparation for public interpretation. The Collections Coordinator for the Association is charged with the responsibility for accession and inventory of artifacts, and for their perpetual care and maintenance.

Artifacts in the collection are photographed and managed within a "PastPerfect" database. Donors are provided a letter of receipt and all donations are tax deductable.
