I was in Miami’s Steel Band from 2003-2007 during my undergrad years and decided to play with the band again when I started grad school in 2008. I played pan in high school and it followed very naturally, after being admitted into Miami, that I would play with the MU Steel Band. I saw Miami’s band perform at my high school once and knew I would enter a very energetic and talented ensemble—which still holds true today. With performing exciting and challenging repertoire, continually meeting professionals in the industry, and going to awesome social events such as BW3’s Night, I’m proud to be MUSB.
