Thoughts on rush

After viewing this web site, I hope that you have a better understanding of the involvement, activities and brotherhood of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. There are common bonds that the brothers of Ohio Tau share which separate our fraternity from others on this campus. We firmly believe that three qualities particularly set our chapter apart from all others: Diversity, Brotherhood, and Pride.

Diversity: There is no such thing as a stereotypical SAE; we have brothers from all areas of the US with different backgrounds, varied interests, and involvement in every range of activities.

Brotherhood: Although we are diverse, we are linked together through pledgeship as brothers. Many of our members have good friends in other fraternities, but we stand apart in our strong sense of unity as brothers. We strive to embody the ideals of The True Gentleman, and this bond particularly sets us apart.

Pride: We are proud of our athletic achievements, of our parties, and our involvement on campus. We have all earned the right to wear our letters, and it is with great pride that we display them on campus.

As Rush Chairman, I urge you to look at all aspects of a fraternity during rush, and to choose a house you feel most comfortable in - a house that you feel is the best. In whatever direction you travel, I wish you the best of luck.

If you have any questions regarding rush at SAE or rush in general, please email or call.

Sincerely,

Rush Chair

Jeff Chain
