West Chester, Ohio - For the first time since 2000, in-line skating was brought back to the Tri-state hosted by the Miami In-line Skating team as well as U.S. Roller Sports, Cincinnati Skatetown Arena, and the Ohio Speedskating Tour. The dubbed Miami University In-line Skating Tournament was a huge success both for the RedHawks as well as the tour drawing the largest crowd and setting a new standard for the Buckeye state. Newark, Ohio - For its inaugural season, the Miami of Ohio RedHawks under the direction of Head Coach Bill Stehlin narrowly won the final tournament in the Ohio Speedskating Tour with a score of 12-10.
