Position Offered: Events Projects and Programs Intern
Qualifications: Students with non-revenue college sports and NGB backgrounds are heavily desired. Applicants should be organized, team-oriented, talented, aggressive, outgoing and innovative. Strong writing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are a must.
Position Description:
The Georgia State Games is one of the largest Amateur Olympic-Style Sports Festivals in the country. Interns are relied upon heavily to operate many of the sporting Events Projects and Programs. These internships provide great, hands-on experience including real life planning and implementation projects.
Location: Kennesaw, GA (Housing is available)
Dates: May 2010; semester-long positions are also available.
Credit/Payment: Both paid and unpaid positions are offered, depending on the applicant's experience and skills, time commitment and academic credit availability. Internships are first offered to students who are seeking academic credit. Paid stipends are limited for those not utilizing the housing option. Both housing and meals are reimbursed. Full and part-time positions are available.

Qualifications: Creative, organized communicator with excellent writing skills and working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Understanding of Greek organizations is encouraged but not required.

Dates: Spring semester; internship lasts 14 weeks
Position Responsibilities: Interns will work on multiple projects including the following: researching and writing feature stories for the Fraternity's semiannual magazine, updating online articles, writing press releases, designing publication layouts and working on web-based integrated marketing communication initiatives.
