What is PRSSA? PRSSA stands for the Public Relations Student Society of America.

What does this organization do? The purpose of our organization is to serve Miami's pre-professionals by scheduling the visitation of credible industry speakers and by hosting events during the academic year. These events and speakers will help guide you toward the PR occupation of interest to you.

According to the national PRSSA website, its purpose and goal is, "...to cultivate a favorable and mutually advantageous relationship between students and professional public relations practitioners."

Who can join PRSSA? The great thing about this organization is that anyone can join. Currently, there are over 9,600 members nationwide enrolled at 284 participating universities. How can I become involved? Once you become a member, you may join any one of our diverse committees. Your list of options and additional committee applications can be found by navigating to the "Committee Profiles" link at the top of your screen.

Will PRSSA help me with the internship and job search process? Absolutely. As a member you will be the first to know about job and internship postings from many of the area's employers. Employers often contact PRSSA directly, so becoming a member will ultimately give you the edge.
