About the Author
Hugh Seidman was born in Brooklyn, New York. His poetry has won several awards including two New York State poetry grants and three National Endowment for the Arts Writing fellowships. His first book, Collecting Evidence, won the Yale Series of Younger Poets prize.
He is the author of three other books of poems: Blood Lord, Throne/Falcon/Eye, and People Live, They Have Lives.
He has taught writing at the University of Wisconsin, Yale University, Columbia University, and Wilkes College.
