The
Standard Lease is based upon State of Ohio Tenant-Landlord
Law. All leases, whether the standard lease or another version,
will contain the same basic broad-based information as found
in the state statutes. Understanding the details of the
standard lease will assist a tenant in any rental situation.
Landlords
in Oxford were given the opportunity to use the standard
lease. Many have chosen not to adopt the lease at this time
because they believe their current leases are more useful
to their individual situations. There is no implication
intended of any inadequacy of the other leases being used.
