Shamrock
Challenge

The Gamma
Nu chapter of Kappa Delta holds a Shamrock Challenge each spring to
benefit Prevent Child Abuse America. Since 1981, all collegiate chapters
and many alumnae associations participate in Kappa Delta's Shamrock Event
held annually in March. Eighty percent of our total earnings go toward
Prevent Child Abuse Ohio, while twenty percent of every KD chapter's
proceeds go toward Prevent Child Abuse America. Last year, the Gamma Nu
chapter's Shamrock Challenge took place on March 24th on Central Quad. The
theme was Double Dare. Participants were divided into teams of four, and
performed such obstacles as finding a flag in a pool full of noodles, and
battling their way through a pit of balloons.
If you have further questions about Shamrock please contact

Other
KD Philanthropies:
Girl
Scouts of America
Each year
the Gamma Nu chapter of Kappa Delta sponsers a local girl scout troop.
Sisters help the girls earn badges and patches and even help the girls
sell cookies!
Fall
Ball
Gamma Nu
began the annual KD Fall Ball in 1996. Each year the sisters of Gamma Nu
dance the night away with individuals involved with the Butler County
Board of Mental Retardation. We are joined by the brothers of Phi Kappa
Tau for a wonderful evening of socializing and dancing.
Adopt-a-Block
and Spring Clean Oxford
These two
programs are sponsored by the Greek community and encourage Greek members
to take care of the Miami community and the environment. Each week, five
chapter members from each Greek organization take a block of the Mile
Square and clean up all of the trash. Spring Clean Oxford is held each
spring in which a large number of Greek members come together to clean up
trash from throughout the community. Kappa Delta strongly supports both of
these programs and encourages its members to participate!
