Welcome to the Graduate Student Association, otherwise known as the GSA. We are an organization of which each and every graduate student is automatically a member. Our charge is to act as the voice of graduate students towards faculty, administration, the student body, and the community.

We have regular monthly meetings to discuss current events and plan future ones. The officers are elected each year and have the duty of handling day to day activities. Graduate health insurance, the Graduate Student Travel Fund, Social Events, and Graduate Housing are all issues which the GSA has on the top of its list of priorities. Graduate students who have ideas they would like to implement are welcomed to contact us and or come to our meetings to share ideas. Further, students who wish to serve on campus wide committees are welcome to give us your name or request a list of open committees.

Every department is required to have a department representative in order to have voting privileges and for students within the department to request the travel and conference reimbursement available to ALL graduate students. ANYONE may attend our monthly meetings, and I would be very pleased to have multiple members of each department in attendance.

You are engaging in what many have said is the best time of your lives. Graduate school is a time and place to study exactly what you are passionate about. It is the first step or last step for many of us on the journey towards our careers and the rest of our lives. The GSA is a place to help all graduate students during their time here.
