Our Service ProjectsOne Way Farm: One Way Farm is a home for abused and neglected children ages 6-21. Most of the kids are in their pre-teen and teenage years. There is one house for the boys and one for the girls. They come together for chapel, etc, and go to public school in the area. We basically play games, do crafts, and just spend time with the kids. Power Packing: Power Packing is a project at Serve City in Hamilton where we stuff food bags for the hungry. We stuff a TON of bags in a very short amount of time. It is fast paced and a lot of fun! Lend-a-Hand: For Lend-a-Hand, we go to the Oxford Resource Center (a center in Oxford that offers GED classes and Head Start classes) and help out with whatever needs to be done, sorting clothing, etc. Ronald McDonald House: The Ronald McDonald House is across the street from the Cincinnati Children's Hospital. It houses the families of those children who live at, or require everyday visits to the hospital at no cost to the family. We do to the house and make dinner for the people who live there so that they can focus on their family instead of worrying about cooking. Teeter Totter Marathon: We contruct a HUGE teeter totter in Uptown Park and ride it for 12 hours. We donate all the donations that we recieve to a chartiy. You can sign up to teeter totter with a friend for an hour or more! MRDD Dances: The Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Board brings several people who use the sevices to a social event that we host once per semester. We have a lot of fun interacting with the people who use MRDD sevices. The first party will be a Halloween Party in October. Drop Inn Center: The Drop Inn Center is in Over the Rhine in Cincinnati. We go and serve a meal in the soup kitchen there. It is really a great expirence to meet all kinds of people. These are just a few examples of the great projects we have. Come check out what new projects there are and what organizations we are collaborating with! |
