HOW DO I JOIN? Anyone is welcome to join us on Thursday nights (unless it's during exams, or a holiday) at 9:45pm. We meet in 116 Culler, then go up to the roof, bust out some telescopes, and do some observing. Whether you're an expert in astrophotography or never even looked through a telescope before, these observing sessions are for you. Come look at the Orion nebula, Saturn, Mars, and other objects, learn to use some really cool telescopes, and hang out with other people who share your appreciation for the universe. Occasionally on nights when it's clear we'll send out an email on the listserv inviting anyone who is interested to an impromptu observing session. You can join our listserv by visiting the listserv archives and clicking on "Join or leave the list". Members will also be able to occasionally go on trips to observatories and planetariums. These trips will either be free or as cheap as possible. To become a member, all you have to do is pay the $5 membership dues. |
