AIAS is a professionally recognized, independent, nonprofit student organization established for you, the individual architecture student.
AIAS stands for the American Institute of Architecture Students. Here at Miami, that translates into one of the most up and coming student organizations on campus. We have increased our numbers steadily each year totaling to over 100 members last year.
The people that you will meet through AIAS at Miami and other universities across the nation will become a network of people you can rely on and continue to stay in contact with on an educational, social, and eventually, a professional level.
What we do…
AIAS is responsible for organizing and running most of the department’s favorite events throughout the year. Some of these events include the Welcome Back Picnic on the first day of Studio, field trips and the Beaux Arts Ball.
Additionally, we are responsible for many educational opportunities, including:
Career Fair
Firm Tours
Portfolio & Resume Workshops
Lectures
National Conferences
