Events

AAA participates in a wide number of events to create a strong bond of fellowship between members and to help spread awareness of Asianess on campus. We have also incorporated service into our agenda and have helped in the past at food pantries.

Come to the meetings to make sure you get all the info about these events and more! Also, if you have any ideas for future events, make sure to let us know!

Dogwood Park Picnic

This is our picnic where we meet-and-greet our future freshman friends and anyone else who would like to join AAA. We have food, games, and a good time at Dogwood Park!

Potluck

Try your luck with the pot, and cook some yummy food to share with the rest of AAA. At this event, everyone brings food and we all eat while hanging out and watching Fusion from the previous year.

Cabin Campout

Let's become one with nature... our nature to party! We spend the night at the WRA cabin, play games, sit around the campfire and eat hotdogs and marshmallows, hold hands and sing 'Kumbaya'.

Club Night

AAA rents out a club for part of the night so we can go clubbing!

Dim Sum Lunch

Want some dim sum? Then come get some! We drive over to a Chinese restaurant and enjoy rounds and rounds of dim sum.

Halloween Party

Here's the way this works: you show up in a Halloween costume and then party.

MAASU

This is an annual conference where Asian-American college organizations from all around get together and communicate and learn from one another.

Bowling

What's there to do around Oxford? Hmm....there's really not much to do around here. Well, we could go to Oxford Lanes and do some bowling! All right! Let's go!

Paintballing

Did you make an enemy in AAA? Well then here's your chance to inflict some pain!

Movie Night

Let's watch movies that reflect important modern day issues regarding Asian themes...Like King Fu Panda!!!

Asian Awareness Week

First initiated in Spring 2009, Asian Awareness Week was composed of a series of lectures and events that reflected Asian related issues. A number of Asian associations on campus were involved, including KASA, CACA, JCLC, and SEASA.

AAA-ISA Basketball Game

We face off with ISA to see which group has superior bball skillz.

Formal

AAA and ISA come together and dance the night away. We dress in swagga and get our dance on! The formal king and queen are chosen as well as other superlatives!

Senior Banquet

Time to say goodbye...In previous years, we have gone on a riverboat cruise and also to nice restaurants. It's sad to see them go, so we try to leave them with a good final memory.
